Welcome to Vocal Splendor, an on-line resource for singers since 1998. Originally a website for soprano, Valerie Williams (She now has her own website at www.valeriewilliams.net.) , it eventually grew to include articles written by Valerie and many other useful resources.

In the On Singing section, you will find the heart of Vocal Splendor. The Voice Studio includes a growing list of articles and educational links. Vocal Repertoire offers a listing of some of the most common books used in the voice studio with on-line shopping through Sheet Music Plus. The Music Links offers many links for singing, opera, and other musical links. The Singer's Store includes items assisting the singer's education and well being.

In About the Site you can find out What's New, read the Frequently Asked Questions, check out our Awards and Webrings and don't forget to Sign the Guestbook!

"Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and cannot remain silent."

Victor Hugo

"A man should hear a little music, read a little poetry, and see a fine picture every day of his life, in order that worldly cares may not obliterate the sense of the beautiful which God has implanted in the human soul."

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

"I think I should have no other mortal wants, if I could always have plenty of music. It seems to infuse strength into my limbs and ideas into my brain. Life seems to go on without effort, when I am filled with music."

George Eliot

"Take a music bath once or twice a week for a few seasons, and you will find that it is to the soul what the water bath is to the body."

Oliver Wendell Holmes

"Music, the greatest good that mortals know, And all of heaven we have below."

Joseph Addison
